Durise is a tablet to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia. It is the disease of enlarging the prostate in the men. In this disease, men have to face difficulty in releasing urine because of the large size of the prostate. It is not due to cancer, it is a non-cancer disease. Durise 0.5 mg helps in converting the prostate from larger to smaller.
Active Ingredient
Dutasteride 0.5mg is known as its active ingredient which helps in inhibiting the enzyme 5-Alpha reductase. It works by converting the testosterone into DHT. DHT is the main component that works in the growth of the prostate. Dutasteride reduces the DHT which is directly helpful in shrinking the prostrate and preventing BPH(Benign prostatic Hyperplasia).

Dosage of Dutasteride Tablets 0.5mg
Take 0.5mg tablets once a day, but it depends on doctor sometime doctor suggest extra dose or a lower dose. Consult your doctor for the dosage according to your condition.
Duration of Treatment
To prevent BPH, it may take 6-12 months for proper treatment, but you may start again the disease and symptoms if you discontinue the medicine. Taking proper treatment can eas easily cure the disease. Avoid discontinuing the medicine to prevent again disease.

If you are taking this medicine then take some precautions from Durise 0.5:
Avoid contact with women(Specially pregnant)
If you are suffering from BPH and taking Durise then avoid being in contact with women, especially pregnant women. It may cause of spreading disease and affect on baby’s health also.
Check prostate cancer
Check regularly about prostate cancer because of BPH disease and has a high chance of prostate cancer. Check regularly and take the medicine properly. Quick treatment can save you from cancer that’s why daily check-ups are necessary.
Avoid other Medications
If you are taking Durise then avoid taking any other medication. The dutasteride can easily interact with other drugs and make the disease more wider. Take other medicine after consulting with the doctor.
Avoid Sun Exposure
During this disease, your skin becomes sensitive that’s why avoid going in sun exposure. if go then use sunscreen and wear sun-protected clothes for protection. A small sun exposure can harm the skin.

While taking this medicine, also change your lifestyle. Like convert unhealthy diet to healthy diet, avoid caffeine and alcohol, exercise daily and maintain the sleep time.
